Three-day food diary: Participants recorded all food and beverage intake for three complete, randomly selected days during the assessment week. The diaries were reviewed by a trained researcher or dietitian for completeness and clarity. Dietary intake data were processed using Compl-eat dietary assessment tool, which estimates energy intake and macro- and micronutrient composition using validated nutrient databases, including the Dutch Food Composition Database (NEVO).

REF (Reference Group); Community-dwelling healthy older adults with good metabolic health and mobility and who are physically active; reference population for comparison with compromised groups. This population was assessed at the Leiden University Medical Center in Leiden, the Netherlands.
