Global cognitive function was assessed using the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). The test evaluated orientation, attention, memory, language, and visuospatial abilities on a 30-point scale. A score of ≥24 was used as an inclusion criterion to exclude participants with significant cognitive impairment.

TKRV (Knee replacement - VOILA - intervention): Patients recovering from elective knee replacement participating in the VOILA intervention programme. This population was assessed at the Maastricht University Medical Center in the Netherlands.
